About Danielle Bird, M.OMSc

Danielle graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2020 and has been in private practice since 2018. She is excited to be a new member of OSTCAN BC and to be serving the greater community of Vancouver Island, where she was born and raised.

Along her own journey to health after multiple sports-related injuries, Danielle sought conventional modalities of healing but found that she was not experiencing any lasting effects. Upon seeing an Osteopathic practitioner for the first time, she was fascinated by the balanced and gentle approach and was pleased that the results held for the long term. This success in healing inspired her to pursue her education in Osteopathy at the country’s foremost school, based in Hamilton, Ontario, where she underwent a rigorous four-year program with no less than 4,200 hours of education and hands-on training.

Danielle continues to cultivate her knowledge in functional anatomy, physiology, and mechanics in order to bring her patients unique, tailored, and effective treatment. Outside of the treatment room, she loves to spend time outdoors in the abundant natural beauty that the West Coast offers by going for runs, hikes, and taking her Great Dane for walks down to the ocean.
