“To find health should be the object of the doctor. Anyone can find disease.”

— Dr. A.T. Still, Founder of Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a gentle, non-invasive form of manual therapy. A practitioner who is classically trained makes use of their in-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, and utilizes the core principles as outlined in 1874 by Dr. Still in order to design a treatment that is unique to each individual.

The goal of Osteopathic treatment is to restore health to an area by removing restrictions in all layers of tissue, as Osteopathy addresses the function of muscles, joints, nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatics. By removing restrictions, the body is better able to make use of its self-healing and self-regulating systems.

Osteopathic care has been found to be helpful for people of all ages with all types of health concerns, including: musculoskeletal issues, spinal health, traumatic injury, digestive irregularity, sleep problems, reproductive issues, respiratory health, and migraines.
